Residential Visits

London

Monday 26th February - Friday 2nd March 2018

Golden Eagle Class will spend five days in London for their residential trip for 2017/18. They will stay at a youth hostel in the city, travel by tube, and visit Windsor Castle, the Tower of London, the Globe Theatre, the Science Museum and the British Museum as well as take a river boat cruise and go ten-pin bowling.  The residential visit to London has been run for several years and has always been an enjoyable and valuable educational opportunity for the school's oldest pupils, both in terms of what they learn about our capital city, and for the positive impact on their self-confidence. We are all looking forward to our next trip!

Folly Farm

Thursday 22nd - Friday 23rd February 2018

Our Year Two pupils will take part in a short residential trip to Folly Farm, Bishop Sutton after the February half term break to enjoy a 'Nocturnal Nature' course, introducing them to the wildlife at Folly Farm, and particularly the nocturnal animals that live there. The children have a wonderful time - take a look at the photographs from our previous visits in our Gallery section.

Great Potheridge, Devon

September/October 2018

Every other year, Golden Eagle Class (Years 5 & 6) visit Great Potheridge House in North Devon on their residential week at the beginning of the school year. They take part in a wide range of outdoor adventure activities such as a night walk, river scrambling on Dartmoor, tree abseiling, archery, raft building and kayaking and have a thoroughly brilliant time doing lots of exciting activities! Take a look at the photographs from some of our previous visits in the Gallery section of our website!

Brecon, Wales

May 2019

Buzzard Class will be taking part in a residential trip to Brecon in Wales at the end of May. The Year 3 & 4 children will enjoy a 3 day/2 night trip to stay at Danywenallt youth hostel in a beautiful location near Talybont. They will have the opportunity to take part in some excellent outdoor activities and experience many different types of wildlife whilst they are there.
